[F-777 - "Life"]

Ok dude, seriously...

You have to turn off the awesome. It's gonna kill you one day... :P

Lovin' the nice, deep, Ripping bass tones, and it's got a good amount of the high stuff. the heavy side-chained 1:30ish is very nice, and has some kind of a backward guitar feeling to it. Atmo-Fog at 2:15ish-2:45ish is great counterpoint making the song have a good feeling of a rebirth.

Overall, there's not much to say other than awesome. I could dig around for a while, but why? We all know that there are others to do that, and they are better. I'm just saying this song has an epic story behind it, and I see no way you could make it better. Well, other than obviously making it longer. That applies to everything. Even that 20 minute long song.... Somewhere... :P

Great bass stuffs, great overall stuff... Another Before Mydnite that does and doesn't sound like it, in the best ways possible. :)

Agreed that it needs more bass. The transitions are a little sudden, and drums would be great.

At least finish this song. At the very least.

Thanks man, the transition was done in about 3 seconds cus i jsut wanted it over and done with, i just rushed the whole thing and put little effort in haha :P

I haven't heard the original...

So this is a review just off what I hear, minus composition.

The instrumentation is good, but the initial bass drums need... IDK, they need focused a bit. As it is, they start out as just a dull throb, and they don't seem to move past that.
The rest of the instrumentation is good. The into was good, and the transitions are all doing fine so far. I agreed that you should continue this. And, I think it's time I listen to the original... :P

Uplifting, yes... but if it's going for an ethereal/heavenly feel, then it might need to be... Eh, lighter, crisper and a bit colder. As it is, it's got a grounded feeling to it...

Mind you, that's not a bad thing. I honestly prefer having the more grounded feeling to it, as it kinda has a sense for me to connect with, rather than just being... out there. :/

The slow drums you added work well, and they don't distract at all, which is good.

And, I've noticed in my writing that sometimes, it's the aimless rambles that are the best one's I've written. So, don't think that no focus is a bad thing, or even weird... Who knows, maybe it's just a really broad focus? ;)

Keep it up, and best of luck for the April NAC!

thanks for the honest review. Not sure if i have a chance to win this thing as i was looking at the other submissions but i tried to do it in my own style. Only heavenly feel to the song i think is the opening pad and the overall uplifting is the type of trance i was going for. Yea i kinda just went about some uplifting, light synths and this is what happened. I think it fits well for the contest.. i like it weird LOL. you should submit a song for the contest :).

Ain't a single thing wrong with hybrids.

Forget the basic genre stuff. That's not what gets you known. It's the mixing of stuff to be original that people like, and the awesome piano intro was PERFECT. The bass comes in deep and hard, and it's nice and clear. I can actually hear whats going on. XD

I really can't say anything against it. I might personally be more inclined toward asking for the ending to get back to the piano and fading out on the flowing stuff. But, it's good without that, so don't bother if you don't want to.

You've still got the musical touch...

Time hasn't dulled it too badly. Just give it a little more polish, and everything will be good.

The voice effect was good, although it did make the words a little hard to hear. 'Course, I'm on a laptop... Which sucks. But, as just an instrument, it was good.

Oh dear... Not reviewed yet!

Well... Ahem. Skippy happy goodness! Thinking kinda like Skippy peanut butter, but not. :/

Anyway, I like this one (As if I've disliked yet. T.T) It's got a nice, solid background for the higher tones that are just kinda... hopping around. And, as the title suggests, it is pretty darn happy! Maybe work with the mastering and stuff a little, to get the tones in better balance. There seems to be a little bit of clashing with some, but it might just be crappy laptop sound. :/

Heck no. In fact I want to apologize for not having gotten back or more busy with it. But, for what we got done, it was fun, and I've learned a good deal from it. We'll have to do it again... When I've got more time! :P

Yeah, not running through the normal critique thing, as I was part of it. Ther eis one thing I heard going on with volume on some of the things that I'm not sure should be there... We'll have to Check it out later on and get it all epic-ed again. :)
