Don't be too critical on yourself...

You've done a good job at a remake, now that I've heard the original. I'm more interested in the part where it goes all GrayZ like. Because that's the part that will stand out the most.

What I hear so far does deviate from the original, which is a good thing. And it does it well. I can hear the original in my head a bit, and the whole thing keeps counterpointing. Makes me happy. =3

Mixing is pretty good, and the instrumentation is great. Just keep going and don't crush yourself before you have a chance. You're doing great, and you can do this.

Amazing...

I can't say anything about the transitions between the tracks, but that's a side issue.

One Last Time... Was just good. Very contemplative, yet happy.

Sound of Beyond... Dang, that's some hardcore awesomeness.

The Beginning... I've liked that one since the preview was posted a while back. It's just beautiful, and sets such an amazing atmosphere.

For the Glory... Just good. :)

They've all got a nice balance to them, between the hard driving tones and the higher tones that just add that nice musing edge to them and give them a focus.

Whenever the final's come out, I want them! :) Keep up with making this stuff.

I haven't heard the original...

So this is a review just off what I hear, minus composition.

The instrumentation is good, but the initial bass drums need... IDK, they need focused a bit. As it is, they start out as just a dull throb, and they don't seem to move past that.
The rest of the instrumentation is good. The into was good, and the transitions are all doing fine so far. I agreed that you should continue this. And, I think it's time I listen to the original... :P

It's good. but then I grabbed headphones and it got better. XD

Uplifting, yes... but if it's going for an ethereal/heavenly feel, then it might need to be... Eh, lighter, crisper and a bit colder. As it is, it's got a grounded feeling to it...

Mind you, that's not a bad thing. I honestly prefer having the more grounded feeling to it, as it kinda has a sense for me to connect with, rather than just being... out there. :/

The slow drums you added work well, and they don't distract at all, which is good.

And, I've noticed in my writing that sometimes, it's the aimless rambles that are the best one's I've written. So, don't think that no focus is a bad thing, or even weird... Who knows, maybe it's just a really broad focus? ;)

Keep it up, and best of luck for the April NAC!

thanks for the honest review. Not sure if i have a chance to win this thing as i was looking at the other submissions but i tried to do it in my own style. Only heavenly feel to the song i think is the opening pad and the overall uplifting is the type of trance i was going for. Yea i kinda just went about some uplifting, light synths and this is what happened. I think it fits well for the contest.. i like it weird LOL. you should submit a song for the contest :).

Ain't a single thing wrong with hybrids.

Forget the basic genre stuff. That's not what gets you known. It's the mixing of stuff to be original that people like, and the awesome piano intro was PERFECT. The bass comes in deep and hard, and it's nice and clear. I can actually hear whats going on. XD

I really can't say anything against it. I might personally be more inclined toward asking for the ending to get back to the piano and fading out on the flowing stuff. But, it's good without that, so don't bother if you don't want to.

I like that industrial glitchyness to it. This would fit well in some sort of a sci-fi environment, with some sort of peaceful surroundings, yet highly industrialized stuff.

You have the perfect sounds in a lot of these, and I really can't find anything negative to say about it. Except maybe length... Not long enough? But that's a generic complaint for anything. :P

I really like the overall feel you achieve. It's got good composition, but it's also got a good sense of subtlety. And, having done this on a new interface? Wow...

You've still got the musical touch...

Time hasn't dulled it too badly. Just give it a little more polish, and everything will be good.

The voice effect was good, although it did make the words a little hard to hear. 'Course, I'm on a laptop... Which sucks. But, as just an instrument, it was good.

Looking forward to more! Please make it soon? Please? :)

Alright, this album sounds epic. I am a little sad that we've been lacking your music here on NG, but... It's a sacrifice well worth making, as everything on this album sounds like it's gonna be good. So, hurry up, and bring it on!
